Internships Program
In today’s world, thriving in the global marketplace requires more than just knowledge of U.S. workplace norms – it calls for a broader perspective. This affordable, 8-week program offers students a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the professional culture of Spain.
Participants will take part in hands-on internships with Spanish businesses, non-profits, and educational organizations tailored to their interests and prior experience. Whether you’re passionate about entrepreneurship, social impact, or education, you’ll gain valuable exposure to how work is done across borders.
Throughout the program, students will deepen their understanding of Spanish workplace dynamics, sharpen their cross-cultural communication skills, and build practical experience that enhances their global career readiness.
Program Information
- Duration: 8 weeks
- Internship: 30-35 hours per week
- Requirements: Sophomore, junior or senior standing, basic knowledge of Spanish and some prior professional experience preferred but not required
- Housing: Student residence hall (see housing options for more information)
- Academic Credit: Arranged by each participant with the appropriate university faculty and/or department

The 2025 program fee will be 3,800€ , which includes:
- Pre-departure online advising
- Internship placement and supervision
- Private single room in a student residence hall with breakfast included
- Orientation and internships-prep workshop
- Bi-weekly follow-up meetings for career coaching
- Weekly office hours and check-ins with COWA
- Happy hours and social integration activities
- Local transportation card with 20 euro monthly allowance
- Welcome and goodbye dinners
- City walking tour and visit to Seville´s Cathedral
- Flameco show
- 24/7 on-site support
The cost does not include:
- Airfare (flights to and from Seville)
- Personal expenses
Payment Schedule:
*** Program fee will be paid directly to COWA through its Online Payments portal.
- First payment (50%): By April 15, 2025
- Second payment (50%): By May 15, 2025
Students will be placed in one of the following residence halls:
